La Manche : 8 territories

La Manche is a peninsula that’s divided into eight territories. The sea is omnipresent here: it gives its name to the department and regulates its climate. Between land and sea, discover La Manche, a place like nowhere else!

La Manche is the place to be for your holidays

LA MANCHE, NORMANDY PENINSULA

The territory of la Manche is a granite peninsula surrounded by water on all sides. The department is therefore resolutely focused on the sea, and most of its residents have some connection with it. The ocean is omnipresent here. It gives its name to the department (La Manche being the French name for the English Channel) and regulates its climate. Wherever you are in the territory, the coast is never very far away.
